Please note that Lyme ticks are active anytime the temperature is above 0 degrees Celsius, and they remain the most active in the Fall. If your pet has been on heartworm prevention regularly last season, A heartworm test is required every 2 seasons. If your pet did not receive heartworm prevention last season, a heartworm test is required prior to starting heartworm prevention. This test is to ensure your pet does not have heartworm disease prior to starting the medication, as this could be dangerous for your pet. An examination with a Veterinarian is required every 2 years to continue dispensing this product.

Indications: Monthly Simparica Trio prevents heartworm disease, kills adult fleas and is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations, the treatment and control of tick infestations, and the treatment and control of roundworm and hookworm infections in dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older, and weighing 2.8 pounds or greater. Simparica Trio blocks the pathogen that may cause Lyme disease by killing deer ticks.
